Setting up storage and delivery locations helps ensure that grain movements are tracked accurately across your operation. In this video, we demonstrate how FarmDocs allows users to define locations for storing grain as well as locations where deliveries are made to customers. By organizing locations properly, producers can maintain clear visibility of where grain is stored and where it is being delivered.
The video walks through the process of creating a new location in FarmDocs. Users begin by entering the location name and selecting the location type, either Storage or Customer. Storage locations are used to hold grain in designated bins for future use, while customer locations represent delivery points where grain is sold or transferred. The walkthrough also shows how to complete additional details such as the company name and address information including country, state, city, and street address. Users can then place a pin on the map to mark the exact location before saving the entry. Once saved, the location becomes available for use in inventory and delivery records.
